The Plank range sits within Alexander Rose's Signature collection, which is exclusively for their most premium furniture.
The tables and benches are made using teak, which is extremely hard wearing and durable. It' a range for those who love superb quality, chunky furniture which makes an effortless statement.
To show off these tables, we suggest pairing with a traditional style woven armchair from collections like San Marino or Monte Carlo, these will create a fantastic contrast of colour and texture.
Beautifully crafted planks machined from thick slabs of teak are sanded to create a silky smooth surface, resting on a solid and sturdy cross frame base.
Alexander Rose's teak is a rich golden-brown timber with a fine figured grain, an even texture with a beautiful lustre. Teak's high oil content makes it naturally water repellent and incredibly durable, and can easily last up to 25 years without treatment. Over time teak will weather to a sophisticated silvery-grey finish.
Alexander Rose manufactures garden furniture which will last for many years. Over time, as part of the natural weathering process, cracks and splits will appear in the wood particularly on the end grain and to a lesser extent on the surface. The drier the wood, the more cracks will appear due to the evaporation of natural oils and minerals in the wood from exposure to the elements.
As with most hardwoods, this is a normal characteristic for any timber which remains outdoors. The timber furniture is designed with this in mind and its strength and durability will remain unaffected.
Wooden furniture can be treated with Alexander Roses specially formulated care products to enhance the look of the wood. Please see the Alexander Rose Timber Treatment page here to find the appropriate timber treatment for your furniture. Alternatively it can be left to turn a mellow silver grey, and should be cleaned occasionally with soapy water.
