Pine

Pine is an extremely popular choice for garden furniture, sourced from responsibly managed forests in Eastern Europe, each piece is specially treated to make it suitable for outdoor use.

Please see images for a close up picture of the wood which has a rustic feel. Pine is a softwood with a figurative grain and a yellow/green colour that has been treated and will mellow over time to an attractive silver/grey.

Timber Care

Alexander Rose manufactures garden furniture which will last for many years. Over time, as part of the natural weathering process, cracks and splits will appear in the wood particularly on the end grain and to a lesser extent on the surface. The drier the wood, the more cracks will appear due to the evaporation of natural oils and minerals in the wood from exposure to the elements. The timber furniture is designed with this in mind and its strength and durability will remain unaffected.

Wooden furniture can be treated with Alexander Roses specially formulated care products to enhance the look of the wood.
