The Broadfield range is the perfect example of some of Alexander Rose's bestselling and well recognised pieces. The Broadfield bench was one of the first things designed by Alexander Rose over 20 years ago and is still a firm favourite today.

The chairs and benches in this range all have a curved and pleasingly slatted back, which fit to the shape of your back for ultimate comfort.

Roble

Roble is an attractive, light yellow coloured wood when new, until the sun gracefully transforms it to a mature, elegant silver grey if left untreated. It has a smooth lustre and texture with a closely interlocked grain and its strength is similar to Teak and Oak.

In 2011 Alexander Rose introduced a comprehensive collection of sustainable FSC Roble hardwood furniture, grown in the dry forest of Eastern Bolivia. With over five million acres of FSC certified forest under management, Bolivia is a world leader in sustainable management of natural tropical forests.

Timber Care

Alexander Rose manufactures garden furniture which will last for many years. Over time, as part of the natural weathering process, cracks and splits will appear in the wood particularly on the end grain and to a lesser extent on the surface. The drier the wood, the more cracks will appear due to the evaporation of natural oils and minerals in the wood from exposure to the elements.

As with most hardwoods, this is a normal characteristic for any timber which remains outdoors. The timber furniture is designed with this in mind and its strength and durability will remain unaffected.

Wooden furniture can be treated with Alexander Roses specially formulated care products to enhance the look of the wood.
